This scholarship was established in memory of Donna Miller by her husband Mike, both long-term residents of Rocky River. Donna loved to help other people and did so as a radiology technician at Elyria Memorial Hospital. Donna’s life ambition was to raise children, and she had very strong maternal instincts that other children were drawn to — Donna was always the special aunt, godmother, or friend that children loved to be around. Donna built a strong foundation based on love and patience with her children who always were the priority in her life in the time she had with them. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with cancer about 3 months after giving birth to her daughter, Samantha. She fought the illness with so much strength and grace that she will always be an inspiration to us during periods of adversity. She passed away at the age of 34.
