This scholarship is given in memory of Kate Carney, a proud participant in the Rocky River Soccer Organization who also had a love of science that was fostered at the Great Lakes Science Center. The funds for the scholarship were created when Elizabeth Demers, a RRHS student, organized a 5K race called River Run for a Cause and chose to have the proceeds from that race go to a scholarship in Kate’s name.
