Lawrence J. “Larry” Badar spent a lifetime creating innovative ways to excite young students about physics. During his 27 years teaching physics at RRHS, he received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching Science and was named a Fellow at the National Science Foundation. After retiring from RRHS, he became the Founding Director of Case Western Reserve University’s Center for Science and Mathematics Education and remained active with the American Association of Physics Teachers. Mr. Badar was the first faculty inductee into the RRHS Hall of Fame. He passed away in 2012.Â
